Zombie Bill Tracker (the "app") is built and published by Ubersoft LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("Ubersoft," "we," "us," "our"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: we don't collect your data. It's stored on your device, and your phone's own backup may keep a copy in your Google or Apple account.
- No account. No sign-up, no login, no profile.
- No Ubersoft servers. Your bills, amounts, dates and notes are stored on your device, and we never receive them.
- Your phone's own backup. Android may copy the app's data to your own Google account as part of its standard backup, and on iPhone iCloud may include it in your device backup. Those copies live in your Google or Apple account under their terms; we can't see them. You can turn device backup off in your phone's settings.
- No tracking. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
01 Information the app stores on your device
The app lets you record bills and related details — names, amounts, due dates, categories, payment history, and your preferences such as language, currency, and theme. All of this is stored locally on your device using the device's own storage. It is not transmitted to us. Your phone's own backup may copy it to your Google or Apple account (see section 03).
02 Information we collect
We do not collect, receive, or store any personal or financial information about you. Because the app has no account system and no server component, we have no technical means of accessing the data you enter.
03 Backups and exports
Device backup. The app keeps one small backup file in its private storage so your camp survives a reinstall or a new phone. Android includes that file in your Google account backup when device backup is on (Settings → Google → Backup); iOS includes app data in iCloud backups.
Optional backup file. If you turn on "Keep a backup file" in Profile, the app also saves a readable copy to Documents/ZombieBillTracker/ on your device. Anyone or any app with access to your files can read it, and it stays after you uninstall the app, so delete it yourself if you no longer want it. It is off unless you turn it on.
Exports. You can also export a backup at any time; it is saved or shared where you choose, and we receive no copy. If you later move, share, or store that file somewhere else, it is handled under the terms of whatever service or location you select.
04 Analytics and advertising
The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking technologies. We do not build a profile of you, and the app does not use advertising identifiers.
This website is separate from the app, and it does count visits — including this page. These pages use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service, to record which pages get read and roughly which country readers arrive from. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It does not keep your IP address, does not follow you across other sites, and never builds a profile of you. None of it touches the app: your bills, amounts and notes are on your device and are never sent anywhere.
05 Purchases
Zombie Bill Tracker is a one-time paid app. Your purchase is processed by Google Play (or by Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad), not by us — we never see or store your payment details. Google's handling of your purchase and account information is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
06 Permissions
The app requests only what it needs to work on your device:
- Notifications (optional): if you turn on bill reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are generated on the device and are not routed through any server.
- Exact alarms: so bill reminders fire at the time you set.
- Internet: declared by the app framework. The app makes no network requests of its own.
07 Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app collects no information at all, no personal information from any user — child or adult — is gathered by us.
08 Your choices and rights
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. You remain in full control of the information on your device: you can edit or delete any entry in the app, or clear the app's data from your device settings. Uninstalling removes the app's data from the device. Copies in your Google or iCloud backup follow those services' settings, and the optional Documents file stays until you delete it. Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA — you may have rights regarding personal data a company holds about you. We hold none.
09 Data security
Your information is stored on your device (and in your own Google or iCloud backup, if device backup is on), so its security depends largely on those protections. We recommend keeping your device locked and its software up to date. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but because nothing is transmitted to us, there is no central database of your information for anyone to breach.
10 Third-party services
The app is distributed through Google Play and Apple's App Store, which process payment. Your phone's own backup (Google or iCloud) may keep a copy of the app's data in your account, under their terms (section 03). Apart from that, the app does not send your information to any third party.
This website loads GoatCounter, for the visit counting described in section 04, and nothing else — no fonts, scripts or images are fetched from anyone else. Your browser contacts GoatCounter directly, so it can see your IP address. It is not used by the app, and it never receives anything you have entered there.
11 Apple
On iPhone and iPad, purchases go through Apple, and your data is covered by iCloud backup if you use it. Apple's privacy policy governs both, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at zbilltracker.com/privacy. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
